A 5-day exploration on foot, tracing the farms of Bali, to sacred ceremonial cleansing waters, through dense forests and finally arriving in valleys of waterfalls. Enjoy incredible local cuisines made with heart and soul and grown locally. Immerse in genuine connections between pilgrims, nature, and with Balinese people in their place.

- A 42.4 km walk, taking off at The ancient Sacred Tree, and landing at the waterfalls of Golden Valley.
- Traversing from the south of the island to the north side through a little known forest trails.

- Accommodation: Comfortable stays at each location along the journey. Communal sleeping on established bamboo/wooden platforms (we don’t provide separate rooms). We provide comfortable mattresses, pillow, blanket, and mosquito net.
- Meals: Three vegetarian and vegan meals a day plus snacks, prepared with fresh local ingredients (we don’t serve meat or dairy products).
- Luggage transport: Your belongings are transported by car from one location to the next, so you can fully enjoy the trail.
- Local guides (24h): Knowledgeable guides throughout the journey for cultural and natural insights.
- Village fees: Contributions to support the local communities.
- Workshops & activities: Hands-on experiences such as cooking, bamboo weaving, and more.
- Drop-off service: Free drop-off to Ubud or Canggu after the trail (other locations available for an additional fee).

Cancellation and Refund Policy
At Astungkara Way, we deeply appreciate your trust in booking with us. We are excited to welcome you to the field or onto the trail! As we collaborate closely with local partners and communities, we carefully plan and prepare our experiences months in advance. Cancellations can impact these relationships, as well as result in non-recoverable costs. Our policy is designed not to be punitive but to balance fairness for our participants, local partners, and team members. We kindly ask for your understanding and firm commitment when booking an experience with Astungkara Way.
I. Payment Terms
-For Individuals & Private Group
Payment for individuals or private groups for Astungkara Way experiences are to be made in full at the time of booking.
-For Educational & Corporate Groups (10+ participants) 50% payment upon booking to secure dates and placement.
Remaining payment due at the latest 14 days prior to Experience start date.
II. Cancellation Policy (Individuals & Groups of Less Than 10 Participants)
-Bookings made more than 1 month before the experience start date can be canceled within 48 hours of booking for a full refund.
-Cancellations made more than 60 days before the experience start date are eligible for a 100% refund in cash.
-Cancellations made 15-60 days before the experience start date areeligible for a 70% refund in the form of a credit voucher valid for 1 year. See terms below.
-Cancellations made 14 days or less before the experience start date are not eligible for refunds (cash or credit).
-Cancellations due to emergencies or illness (less than 48 hours notice) are not eligible for refunds. We strongly recommend securing comprehensive travel insurance to cover such losses.
III. Credit Voucher Terms
-Credit vouchers are transferable to family or friends.
-We require the new participant’s name at least one month before the rescheduled experience.
-If pricing changes, the participant must cover any difference in cost.
IV. Cancellation Policy for Educational & Corporate Groups (10+Participants)
-Up to 3 participants may cancel after invoicing with a full refund.
-Any additional cancellations beyond 3 participants will be charged at full price.
-Cancellations less than 48 hours before the experience start date: No refunds will be issued, regardless of group size.
V. No Show - applies for individuals & group bookings
-If a participant is not present at the starting point of an Experience, he/she will be considered a “no show”.
-If an Experience participant is a “no show”, no refund is given as expenses have already been incurred by Astungkara Way.
VI. Cancelation by Astungkara Way
If for any reason a scheduled Experience is canceled by Astungkara Way, a full refund in form of cash will be provided.
VII. Bad Weather Cancellation by Astungkara Way
Since our experiences are deeply connected to nature, we ask you to understand that weather conditions can be unpredictable. Our goal is to ensure the safety and comfort of our participants while maintaining fairness to our team and local partners.
1. Light Rain or Mild Weather Conditions
-Our trails and experiences will proceed as planned in light rain or mild weather, as these are part of the natural cycle of Bali’s
landscapes.
-We encourage participants to come prepared with rain gear and embrace the elements as part of the journey.
2.Severe Weather Conditions (Heavy Storms, Flooding, Unsafe Trails)
If severe weather makes the experience unsafe (e.g., heavy storms, extreme winds, landslides, or flooding), we will:
-Reschedule the experience to a later date (if possible, within 1 year).
-Offer a credit voucher (valid for 1 year) if rescheduling is not an option.
3.Last-Minute Cancellations by Participants Due to Weather Concerns
If a participant cancels due to personal concerns about the weather but Astungkara Way determines it is safe to proceed, our standard cancellation policy will apply (no refund within 14 days of the start date).
4.Midway Cancellations Due to Worsening Weather
If a program has already started but must be cut short due to extreme weather conditions, we will:
-Provide a partial refund based on services already provided.
-Offer a discounted rate for rebooking if participants wish to return for the full experience.
5.Alternative Experiences in Case of Severe Weather
-If extreme weather prevents outdoor activities, we may provide alternative experiences such as traditional Balinese workshops,
indoor cultural experiences, adjusted itineraries with safer routes.
-This approach ensures that participants still receive a meaningful experience while prioritizing safety and sustainability.
